Moving Day

Jason and I had to move two times in the past 4 months. We first moved across the street in June since we weren't sure if and where his new job would be and our landlord wouldn't agree to a month-to-month contract, so we found a VERY kind soul who would! We lived out of boxes until we found out my husband got a new job. Once we knew, we found an amazing townhouse (we have so much space we don't know what to do with ourselves) 45 minutes northeast of where we were living and on September 1st, we hired movers to take our highly organized stuff to our new abode. The above picture is Jason crafting color coded name tags of where each box should go upon arrival at the new place.

Another Jason idea: allowing laundry detergent to pour into fuller laundry detergent container while packing.
Everytime Jason would go to the grocery store he would come home with boxes & boxes. I had to curb his addiction on the last week before moving. Our house smelled like banana boxes the whole month. Whenever we move I feel like we don't have very much stuff, but we decided it's because Jason organizes things so well that it looks deceiving. Even the movers thought it would only take them an hour or so to pack everything into the moving van...it was more like three to four hours. We have since declared ourselves minimalists and are only going to buy 1 decoration per room.
