Lily's First Day at the Beach, Which Was By a Fort, Which Had a...

hummer, hummer, hummer, hummer, hummer, hummer....(do you remember playing that game when you were a kid?) The reason we chose the small patch of sand (beach) that was next to a fort is because it had free parking:)
Lily sporting her beach hat. It was actually a bit chilly when we went.

Wait a second, these pictures got a little mixed up. That's Lily putting her soft giraffe toy over her face. She does that when she wants to go to sleep, and then when she's fallen asleep I take it off. Hey, whatever works, right?
Wow, look at these beauties. Spring is well on its way here in CT, and these were some of the first flowers to welcome it in.
Back to the chilly beach.
We had to post this picture of the cute dress Grandma Sherrie bought. As you can tell, our "Happy Sumo" (I can't get enough of all those rolls underneath her dress...I sometimes just put her in her diaper to look at how adorable and pinchy she is) is filling out this dress and it has since been retired.
Some more signs of spring...evening walks and DOGWOODS. The white ones look exactly how I envision the Tree of Life.
Two minutes earlier in the walk she was semi-alert, and then when we got to the door, I realized she was completely out. Good thing it was at the end of the walk. I wouldn't want to suffocate the girl:(
Lily accidentally fell a VERY SHORT distance and bumped her head on the ground. She didn't even cry, but the next day for some reason, she started doing this funny thing with her lips (pictured above). Jason was serious when he asked if maybe that was a result of the VERY SHORT fall. (I don't know if he wondered if it had done something to her brain or if he thought she may have hurt her lips. I should clarify). She has stopped doing it...Jason and Lily both crack me up.
And finally...wait. I'm missing a picture. Oh, well. This was a good one of Jason multi-tasking: working on the computer and keeping Lily engaged with her monkey rattle.

Awesome! She is cute. It's hard to believe there are places that are still cold. It hit 100 here today. Lots of sunscreen for my little transparent-skinned red heads. :)
