So Impressed

I know this blog has become a little Lily heavy, so let's get a little bit more Jason in here. He never ceases to amaze me. He decided to bake a pie a couple days ago and then decided to give it to me for Valentine's Day. He even baked the crust...gluten free, to boot.



Yummy Banana Cream Pie. He asked me if we had a pie pan, and I said, "Yeah. In the cupboard. There are two of them." He said, "Those are cake pans." Who knew? Jason is definitely becoming the baker in the family.


He's quite an artist with whatever he does and very detail oriented. Do you see how he made the edges on the crust? Before I gulped down the last bite I noticed it and couldn't resist snapping a photo, for posterity's sake. He he he.

Wow, that DOES merit being impressed for sure. A real pie? Amazing! I made my Valentine a lame old fake banana cream pie yesterday: store bought graham cracker crust, vanilla pudding and bananas for the filling, and cool whip for the cream. Oh well, you do what you can, right?
