We're Back

This is part of our backyard.  The previous owner left perennials that are coming up almost every week.  There is always color.  It's amazing.
This is Lily getting her fill of moving trucks.
This is Lily passed out on her trampoline.  I finally feel like I can buy her real toys now that we have a house and now that I need more to keep her occupied than spatulas and blocks and plastic  something or others in a Nesquik container.
I'll be honest.  I can do without two...and a half.  (Calamity Jane anyone?)  I am hoping that things get better now that our cabinet doors are up (pictures to follow soon) and we're getting a bit more unpacked, but I feel like what I do all day is tell her not to hang on anything jutting out of the wall or not to climb on the outside of our stairs or not to bang on and slam my new to me cupboard doors.  Anyway, I used to supposedly choose my battles, but lately I feel like all my battles are extremely important...please tell me we'll survive.  She also seems to tantrum on a regular basis, sometimes it feels like the whole day she is pitching a fit.  Not fun.  Maybe I need that English nanny lady to come help me/us.  This is a picture of her after she slapped the newly painted green wall.
This is our newest angel Doug.  He taught us how to paint, helped us paint, and was often on call for any cabinet painting emergencies I had.  Too bad he and his wife moved yesterday.  Dear Connecticut, Please lower your taxes.  You are losing wonderful people.
These are hydrangeas.  One of my favorite flowers ever. We have lots in our backyard and some in our front.
This is my 2013 strawberry girl, with our friends Daisy and Janette.  Not pictured:  Grace.  She was there, though.
This is Grace getting sprayed over and over again by Dora the Explorer sprinkler.  She loved it.  Couldn't get enough of it.
These are the aforementioned hydrangeas in our front yard.
Yep, Grace again.  Lovin' that sprinkler.  I don't understand it, but I love it.  I like this sprinkler because I don't turn it very high and when Lily asks me to run through the sprinklers with her, I can strategically jump through the middle and not get wet.  Although, we've had some particularly hot days so I'm not really doing myself any favors...

Ash, congrats on your new house!! I want to see pictures of your new cabinets and freshly painted walls!! I'm sorry Lily is high maintenance right now. Rest assured it does get better. I felt like I got a new kid when Em turned 4. My girls were your girls' ages when we were in Poland, it was SUPER hard. Then when they turned 4 and 2 it got sooo much easier. Now that they're 5 and 3 they entertain each other all day. All I have to do is feed them and dress them. When your girls are just a bit older they will play so well together and life will get so much easier.
