Grandmother and Thanksgiving

Grandma Miller came to visit a couple weeks ago and Lily was in love.  She'd read books to her and on her.
Cute pic of Lily playing with a balloon.
What stockings really should be used for.
I try not to let her crash very often since she then stays up until 10, and with Jason working all the time, I need her in bed at 7.  But sometimes she just lays down and falls asleep and it's so sweet to capture.

More Grandma snuggles.  One of my favorite things about having Grandma here, besides having an adult to talk to all day, is that she thinks my kids are just as adorable as I do.
Do you see all those black birds my mom is pointing to?  I think they are starlings (I just read about them in an Annie Dillard book) and they keep coming in droves to eat in people's yards...including ours!
This grandma picture was courtesy of Lily.
As was this Jas & Grace one.
Grandma's last day.  I've decided it's the worst being left behind:(  I don't like it ever.  It's much better being the one leaving.

I was trying to show Grace's darling curls she has in the back.  They are so cute.  I'll try again for another post.
This is how Lily flies.  It's a riot.  And almost any dress she is wearing is "a princess dress."
 More flying.
 A princess witch.
 A conductor hat.
This Grace girls is definitely following in Lily's footsteps.  Climbing, hanging, etc.
Here is a picture of our kitchen that we painted yellow and finally hung up some pictures and a floating shelf.  It's not really floating, he he he, Jason nailed it to the wall.  This was just before our Thanksgiving feast.
And this was right after, which is how many of our meals end up...both girls on Jason's lap.  We decided to just do Thanksgiving by ourselves this year, and I have to tell you, it was pretty relaxing and rejuvenating.  Jason had Thursday and Friday off and we just hung out all three days and went to the Yale Peabody Museum on Saturday for a little excursion.  No pictures, though.

Hey it looks like you painted?! it's beautiful! Good to see your mom there. I know what you mean, I was in tears when my mom left in July. Very hard to say good-bye. Ben is working crazy long hours too. IT's the pits.

Glad your Mom came! I love the three strollers parked by the Christmas tree. You have a great family!
