Another girl to steal another piece of my heart!

It's another girl and we couldn't be more excited!  Because we don't have enough girl cuteness around here...
 Planting a garden!
A little run in with a swing.
Lily's bag turned into romper strikes again!
 Sisters!
Our crabapple tree in the spring.  I look forward to it every year.
Petting the goats at the zoo.
Running through the sprinklers with umbrellas, boots, and nightgowns.
 Dandelions to get married with.
 Exploring an arboretum with friends.
 Block boy.
Grace wanted in on the action.  "Take a picture of me, Mom!"
We have a world renowned opera singer in our ward and I thought it was a riot that she was teaching the girls volleyball.  He he he.
Setting up camp in our backyard.  Jason took some boys from church to the Fathers and Sons campout and the girls felt so bad.  Jason promised he'd take them camping.
He was true to his word and the girls LOVED it and slept surprisingly well.  I did, too...on our living room couch.  I am still not a camper.
 Enjoying the irises.

We have a park with farm animals and a pond that fills up with all sorts of neat things in the spring, including this duck and her ducklings.  It's my favorite picture.  I always imagine my girls following me like they do their mother and I love having them around me.
Playing with the newts at the park.
We love our next door neighbors.  Their friendship has been such a blessing with Jason frequently gone in the evenings and on Saturdays.
Look who learned to ride a bike!  I am a believer in balance bikes.  The transition was almost too easy.  I feel like I didn't earn my mother stripes on this one.
I had to go strawberry picking just once this summer.  They were fabulous.  Lily was good about not eating them...can't say the same for Grace.
Lily and Grace playing dentist on each other with my tweezers.  They even have the light going on!
A highlight of the summer was Grandma and Grandpa Ard coming to visit!
Light up rings before the Fourth of July fireworks on the beach.
 Happy couple.

Fireworks on the beach!  So fun.
Grace making sure that Grandpa saw them.
Playing on the hammock at the bishop's house.
Grace was very particular about carrying her own camping chair.
I love the way Grace smells things.  Scrunches up her whole nose and face and says, "I smell somesing."
 Roasting marshmallows in the backyard.
Visiting the Hartford Temple construction site!!!
This was the beachiest summer yet.  I loved it.  The weather was amazing and the girls were at perfect ages for me to feel comfortable taking them frequently.
Lily and Kooper.  She would be in heaven if we got a dog.  Luckily we have friends who share theirs.
Kassandra and Grace after another beach day.
Lily and our friend's nanny having a blast on the swings.
Look at this carrot that Lily made out of play dough.  So impressed with her details.
 Splash pad fun.
Princesses.  I love Grace's red boot slippers.
The girls were obsessed with our friends' new baby.  Can't wait until they have one of their own;)
Snuggling with Apple Jack.  We've gotten into My Little Pony.
 Burger Queen.
My sweet friend and her darling family were so kind to let us use their pool to practice Lily's new swimming skills this summer.
Flying kites Lily made.  They actually flew pretty well.
 Rainbow Dash funny faces.
 Doctor Grace funny face.
I have a brilliant homeschooling friend who regularly visits museums, etc. as field trips with her kids.  I've started tagging along.  This was a Dr. Seuss garden surrounded by four museums.  Grace had fun sitting on Dr. Seuss's lap.
Lily enjoyed giving Sally high five and kissing her?
Grace was in heaven at the Curious George exhibit at one of the museums.
Lily also enjoyed hanging on Thing One or Thing Two.
Visiting the zoo again.  The girls really liked this fake tiger almost as much as the animals.  They rode him, fed him, pet him.
This photo doesn't do it justice but she made a really cute bow out of toilet paper and put it in my hair.
I was impressed with their harmonica skills as well as Lily's multi- tasking.
Another homeschooling friend who sometimes invites me on her field trips.  We explored around a water treatment plan.  Good thing we had our boots and umbrellas.
Lily's taking a tap and ballet class at the YMCA.  I tell you, it is worth every penny for the comic relief it gives me each week.  Lily and the other girls had me in tears this past Monday.  Their teacher is no nonsense so it makes the whole class even funnier.
Poor Lily had a face plant at the park.
My friend Sarah invited me to learn how to can applesauce which I've been wanting to learn for awhile.  It was so fun.
I signed Grace up for a cheap little gymnastics class since she's been feeling so bad at Lily being able to take all the classes.
 Love these sweet little moments.
The stars aligned and they both wanted to wear the same dress and let me do their hair the same way, complete with bows!  Grace changed her clothes at lunchtime but I got about 3 good hours of cuteness out of them.
Another fun day at science class.
 Sammy and Lily.
Lily's swimming class.  Her teacher was Miss Katie and it was so fun!
Discovering indoor playgrounds (McDonald's).  Thanks to Grandpa Ard.
Some friends put on a cute Bible camp at our church.  Lily even got to be Daniel in Daniel and the Lion's Den little play.
The favorite part after swim lessons.  Playing in the lockers.
I love what the humidity does to Grace's curls.  Goldilocks.
Lily wanted to learn how to do 3 legged races for family home evening.
I even got a little crazy with it.
Blueberry picking with friends.  I even made the most delicious blueberry pie with them afterwards.  Yummy.
This dish is what I dream about all winter.  Fresh tomatoes, cucumbers, and green beans from our garden.  (The green beans didn't grow well this year so they were from Price Rite).  Cook the beans with a little bit of bacon grease and chopped bacon.  It's incredible.  My great grandma used to make it...
 Star blueberry EATER.
This summer was extra special.  I was really grateful for how full of friends and family and beaches and swimming and outings it was.
