Best kept secret:

Besides my husband it would have to be the adult session of Stake Conference. The speakers and the spirit are amazing.
Favorite talk: Definitely the one by the president of our Relief Society organization for women. She talked about how much we can learn by studying the lives of the prophets and their families (look at how many problems/trials/experiences they had with their families and they were prophets). She said that we often don't get what we want from Heavenly Father but that it's our perspective that ends up changing. (Sounds like the C.S. Lewis quote that says "Prayer doesn't change God, it changes me.") She reminded me/us that the adversary would have us think we are doing okay as we walk down the wrong path (she told how she was getting in the bad habit of gossiping about extended family members) and that Satan would have us think that it's our spouse/friend/family member who needs the changing, not us. She then quoted Doctrine and Covenants 25:10 "And verily I say unto thee that thou shalt lay aside the things of this world, and seek for the things of a better." She encouraged us to make time for SERIOUS scripture study and prayers...even if we don't think we have the time, we need to lay aside the things of this world to make time. (Things I can lay aside: blogging, Zuma, facebook...this computer stuff can get me addicted...lay it aside, Ash.)

Thanks. I needed to hear that. I am going to write that scripture on a card and put it on my fridge!
