Jason and I were going to go somewhere like Philadelphia or Massachusetts for one last getaway before the baby comes, but we were both too tired, so I decided to make my first Thanksgiving meal. My proud moments: mashed potatoes, gravy, and pecan crusted yams... REAL yams and REAL potatoes. So delicious and very easy!
Then we went to the play A Christmas Carol. It always gets me in the Christmas spirit to see the change in Scrooge, but I think I'm going to do what President Monson does and just read it in the future so it's not quite as expensive:) Now comes my "other festivities." We went to my ex-boss's birthday party. I love her whole family. I've been teaching her son piano lessons, and so he showed off his skills by playing "Happy Birthday" for his mom.
My ex-boss is on my left and her daughter is on the right. I don't know if I ever mentioned this but I quit my job in the summer to begin a speech therapy program in the Fall. I went to a staff meeting recently because I miss them so much. Jiomy is the one touching my stomach in the picture. She cracks me up!
