First Kiss and Other Happenings

Today Lily gave away her first kiss. To 18-month-old Mason. Apparently she went right up to his cheek and planted a wet one on him. You all know what those 14-month-old kisses feel like. Lovely. He was so excited that he gave her a hug and then started doing this weird thing with his hands to keep her attention as she was quickly distracted and began toddling after her other love...dogs. This one's name was Shadow and when he finally laid down to rest, Lily sprawled herself right on top of him and stayed there for a minute or two until he was distracted by a 4-year-old. Darling Lily.

By "other happenings" I meant our 5th anniversary!!! Jason didn't really surprise me with this edible arrangement that wasn't by Edible Arrangements (I saw it on our credit card transaction), but I was grateful because every time I pass by this new business that just opened up to compete with Edible Arrangements, I comment that there are never any customers. It breaks my heart a bit. So, kind Jason took pity and bought me/us this delicious, fruitful treat.

Lily was of course thrilled with the balloons. We got two because there was a mix up on our order. Lucky Lily. One for each hand.

Hmmm, I wonder what she's been eating.

What was that TV show...Tool Time?... with that guy who'd always look over the fence and you'd never see his face? Lily reminds me of him, only with cuter eyes and a cuter button nose. I don't know if that guy even had a button nose.

Lily started playing dress up with my shoes today. Good thing I like "comfort over fashion" as one lady from my church said to me on Sunday. I always get compliments on my shoes from women over 50. I think that means I need to buy cuter shoes.

The games Lily makes up. She first put a pair of socks in my mouth and then proceeded to put a pair in her mouth. Very fashionable.

Wearing Daddy's gloves.

This isn't the aforementioned "Shadow" nor is it the same way she sprawled herself across the other dog. This dog is Bristol and Lily is what we call "snuggling". She finally found a dog who had the same affection for children that she has for dogs.

And that's Bristol licking Lily's face and me doing absolutely nothing about it. The owner said, "Good thing he's had his shots." Whew.

Lily finally learned how to push herself on her firetruck. I'm glad because now she doesn't need my help putting out fires. My dad just retired from the fire dept. Maybe she can take his place. She occasionally enjoys taking her bears for a spin. I don't think the fire dept. would mind.
