We picked up this rocking chair when we were in Boston on Saturday. I couldn't pass it up when we saw it by the side of the road next to someone's garbage. It seems the thing to do here in CT - they even have a couple months dedicated to it - so I figured MA is probably the same way. I remember having one of these when I was little and have been wanting one for Lily. However, there has been very little rocking in it. Mostly she uses it as a jungle gym, and I've cringed a couple times when I've been in the other room and have heard a big thump. Lily likes to topple it over while she is on top, she likes to stand up and jump on it, she just barely was standing on it with no hands smiling from ear to ear, and she likes to crawl through every hole she can - sometimes getting stuck and so happy for Mom's rescue, after which she attempts the same feat again. Daredevil Lily.

The Rocking Chair That Very Well May be the Death of Lily

I remember both of my kids doing the same thing. Thanks goodness they grow out of it and just like to rock.
