Lily's first word is not "mama" or "dada", it is "up." How appropriate for this little climber. In fact, whenever I ask where her "mama" is she points to herself. Guess she feels like she can take care of herself from now on.
And now for the temple incident. This is Rock and Lily who are hopefully becoming friends. Rock is very mellow and Lily is always in his personal bubble, but I think he's slowly warming up to her. Anyway, they were having a pretty fun time together on the temple grounds last Saturday.
(By the way, Rock is aptly named. He doubled his size in his first two weeks after birth. He is one hefty kid.)
We brought them closer to the temple in the shade near my FAVORITE tree. (Isn't it lovely.) And they started chasing each other and screeching when Lily completely bull dozed Rock to the ground where he bumped his head and began crying.
For the rest of the time there, whenever she would go near him he would run to his mom yelling, "Carry!" We were cracking up. It looks like she won't have a problem with some of the other aggressive boys in nursery I've been hearing about. I just hope she's not the bully. Yikes.
Despite the episode, Rock's mom continued taking photos of Lily.
I love her brown eyes. I feel like that's all she got from me:)

Funny! She'll do great in nursery, especially since she can take on a kid twice her size and weight. My poor Hannah will go to nursery next month and doesn't stand a chance. She is so skinny. She's not even on the charts for weight and doesn't weigh 20 lbs. yet. We're hoping she'll get to turn forward facing in the car by the time she's two. Funny thing is, she eats as much or more than my older kids.
Yay for first words! Vivi has been starting to say "baby", but the cutest is her animal noises! She has noises for "tiger", "doggie" and "duck". She makes a raspy, back-of-her-throat voiceless growl for "tiger", the same sound in short bursts is "duck", and for "doggie" she keeps her lips softly closed and fills her cheeks up with air and then chews her jaw up and sown as she makes a "wa-wa-wa" sound. It's so cute to watch her do such a basic stripped down version of a "W".
Oh, and If she likes aggressive, she should come visit sometime and the two of them can gang up on Sasha the dog. Vivi is always tackling her.
