We had a very rainy two weeks, so when the sun finally decided to show its face on Thursday morning, Lily took her maiden voyage on the plastic bike seat we bought for her last week. The dogwoods, azaleas, and tree canopied roads did good for my depressed little soul - I'm not that into days and days of little light - and reminded me again why I LOVE Connecticut. I kept thanking Heavenly Father for the GLORIOUS rain-rinsed morning. We even have this bike trail about 2 seconds away from our apartment (where this photo of Lily in her bike helmet was snapped).
Then I decided to put all lazy thoughts aside of not wanting to deal with cleaning a wet and dirty Lily and let her have some much needed puddle time.
And of course we can't have an outing without her finding some sort of animal to bark/meow/tweet at and pet. I cringe every time. I need to find out who that cat belongs to since it seems to greet us on every walk we go on and my efforts to distract Lily have proven ineffective.

She IS Lily Cat, isn't she? :-). It's hard for kids to understand what it means to not play with strays. Mary always says, "But why?" I'm so glad you were able to get out! You're such a good mom.
