I came across this thought while I was preparing a lesson for primary...I thought it could apply to children and teenagers and gave me some hope:
No little child absorbs knowingly the sunlight; but unconsciously the light brings power to his little body. No child knows the value of his mother’s milk nor of the food from opened cans which gives him nourishment. Yet, that is where he gets his strength and his power to grow and to become a man eventually. …
And every child, without realizing the full portent, can absorb much from a sacrament meeting [or primary, family home evening, family scripture study!!!]. They will absorb something every time.
Lily is taking quite a fascination in dressing herself. Daddy's socks are a lot easier to put on than her own socks.

Shorts, skirts, and shirts on your arms. I like the look.
She's almost got the pants thing down.
Daddy's socks on her arms. At least these were clean.

Hey Ash... love the quote. Did you watch the Rock Center special report on Mormons? Sorry for all the setbacks, but at least your baby is healthy. When you first mentioned your baby as one of the setbacks I was super scared something happened! My sis-in-law just lost her baby at 40 weeks. I miss you!! When are you going to Utah again?? Do you have a name picked out?
The quote makes me wonder why all food comes from cans... or breastmilk. I like Lily's pants-putting-on technique. Maybe that'll be a new trend!
