1. On our recent family vacation we lost our camera. That's #3 in our five years of marriage (we broke the first two). What is our deal and how can we do better? Maybe we just need to budget this in every year and a half.
2. Jason found out he didn't pass his most recent actuarial exam. I guess I shouldn't have been so sure he'd pass, but I was so sure he would! I probably jinxed him. We're praying hard that he will pass next month. You could put in a petition, too, if you'd like.
3. Finally, on my 28th week visit to my OB/GYN that I just adored (past tense), he informed me that he will no longer be delivering babies after Oct. 1st. I am due Oct. 22nd. The first place I called to transfer my records said they don't take patients after 26 weeks...luckily I found a place that does. But I won't be delivering at the same wonderful hospital with the same wonderful doctor. I'm still in mourning.
Here are some pics my kind sister-in-law and brother-in-law sent me from our visit to Washington:
BBQ at Uncle Collin's
Watching the kids play croquet.
Lily and her same age cousin Vivi playing with pogs. I remember my brother being into these when he was younger. I guess they're a real hit amongst the toddler age crowd nowadays, he he he.
Having a hotdog roast in Grandma and Grandpa Ard's backyard. I love that you can do this kind of stuff in WA especially when you have the most beautiful and spacious backyard I've ever seen! I miss waking up in the mornings eating cheerios and watching deer and rabbits jumping around out back.
Smoke following the little beauties.
I can't remember if I ever bragged about my brother-in-law being drafted to the Seattle Mariners! (He's currently playing for one of their farm teams called the Everett Aquasox). We went to a couple of his baseball games with the family. This was on the 4th of July and Lily and I aren't pictured. She was having a bit of a meltdown due to a lack of sleep. I think I was, too, he he he.

We are always talking about how you were the best home teachers in the world, we miss you! We'll be praying for Jason and his upcoming exam, those exams are insanely hard!
You might want to try and have her on October 23rd. (my birthday) just an idea! I'm sorry about your camera loss. She's such a cutie, you need to take pics all the time!
Maybe you just need a bigger camera - a digital SLR camera like Holly. Then you would maybe not lose it because it's so big. I'm not sure if they're unbreakable though...
And don't stress too much about not passing thing. I think that probably happens a lot. I know it does with the Bar exam. Heck, I know quite a few experienced school teachers around here had to take the California Basic Educational Skills Test multiple times when that became a requirement. That test is very, very basic, so I actually was shocked. But tests can be a challenge!
And if nothing else, you can be glad you had a doctor you liked for at least a while. Both my doctors (used different ones because had different insurance plans with each child) were pretty impersonal. Don't think they remembered my name from one visit to the next, and since I never had a complication (luckily!) all my prenatal care felt like assembly line stuff. AND neither doctor was on call when I actually delivered, so both my deliveries were done by doctors I'd never even seen before in my life. But the kids still came out adorable! It's weird, though, that your doctor didn't have a referral for you. Was he (she?) the only OBGYN in the office?
