The Castle

THIS JUST IN:  We just learned Jason passed the exam he previously failed!  Hooray!  He is now an Associate Actuary.  Hello, Associate Ard!  I don't think they really call them that, but I'm just so happy for him since he has put in hours/weeks/months/years of studying.  Now on to become a fellow of the society of actuaries.  But I think he will be taking a bit of a break for baby #2.

And now back to The Castle.  I always comment on this fun hotel we pass by on our trips to Boston, so we finally decided to book a night to see if it was as cool up close and on the inside as it has been on the outside.  There was no moat, no lord or chamberlain.  Not even a tournament with knights.  Needless to say, we were quite disappointed.

Earlier this month we took a trip to Lyman Orchards where we went on our first family corn maze.  I thought Lily would love to run around in it, but she mostly liked playing in the dirt.

That's a paper cup from the maze that she couldn't let go of.

As if one isn't enough.  I think I'm creating a monster.

A new favorite hangout in our house.

We were at a church party on the beach and Lily had more fun in this bucket than in the actual ocean.  She was a good example to everyone...

well, almost!

She recently got stuck in this pot.  We were close to having Lily soup that night until Mom got her out of the sticky situation.

Congratulations Jason! (and Ashlee!) Ivy also has a thing for lounging on the stairs, it is the only time in their life they will fit so perfectly :)
I think my parents stayed at that sheraton in Boston too :) so alluring.

Kudos for deciding to book a night in a hotel that looked interesting, even if it was a disappointment. You never know, and it's so fun to take chances! That's how my dad and I had a very memorable time at a place called Pea Soup Andersen's once.
