It's literally right up the road from us and you can bike around it, hike around it, or raft in it, which is what we decided to do on Columbus Day morning since Jason had the day off and has been wanting to raft in it all summer.
Lily pointing out where else Dad needed to blow up the raft. She's always so helpful!
There couldn't have been more perfect weather and the leaves are starting to change colors.
Nice smile, Lil.
We loved getting so close to the water lilies. Literally right on top of them.
A little "alcove" we found that was my favorite part of the lake. The lily pads are also starting to turn colors.
Jason basically paddled the whole time with a bit of help from Lily. I liked being in the raft because there was more cushion than a canoe. We're thinking of investing (we just borrowed this one from friends).
I was holding onto Lily as she liked dipping her hands in the cold water. I just didn't have the energy to deal with hypothermia that morning.

That looks like such a fun outing! It's odd- in the first picture with Lily and Jason, Lily looks so very TINY. I know she's not really that tiny- it just seems to be some bizarre fluke of perspective. But still-
I had no idea that water lilies change color, too- how fascinating!
Glad you were able to enjoy the day!
Congrats to Jason and Lily is so cute and growing up so much! When is your baby due? Has she already made her debut?
