Leaves, Christmas, and Birthdays

Jason had the brilliant idea of putting our leaves at the bottom of the slide for the girls to land in.  He always makes chores more fun!
 Lily loved it.

Jason also makes food more fun.  Snowmen!
We took the girls to see Santa Clause at a police station.  We felt very safe there:)  Lily started walking right towards Santa to tell him what she wanted and about 5 steps in, she turned around and got nervous.  Grace was not nervous.  She always surprises me.  She still talks about getting a candy cane from Santa Clause.
Christmas wouldn't be complete without Janet Brown's (our old neighbor from Utah) stockings.  And now we have a fireplace and fireplace hangers to display them.
 Santa came!
Grace got a doll...actually two because Lily isn't really into dolls and Grace has basically taken over Lily's.  My mom started calling her "Mama Grace."  You can often find her with a doll under her arm.
Our adopted Grandma or Auntie Bobbie gave the girls these darling nightgowns which they didn't take off for about three days.
Lily thinks this is a normal way of watching TV.  They think Jason is a jungle gym.
Jason is also the distributor of hot chocolate.  I always make them take their clothes off so the chocolate won't stain.
Uncle Travis came to visit for Christmas!
And we got our first good snow fall for the season.  Perfect for building a snowman.
 Grandma came to visit, too!
Happy birthday to my sweet Lily.  I stopped at the dollar store and decided this is the way to go to make it seem like a party.  Party hats, balloons, plates, and a table cloth for $5 and Lily didn't take her party hat off until she went to bed.
Lily has been very particular for a few months about what she wanted on her cake.  She kept telling me she wanted a cake with red roses all over it.  I was reading a Richard Scarry book a few weeks ago and there was a chocolate cake with red roses all over it.  I figured that was where she got the idea and I loved that she was so particular about it.

Grace just loves to snuggle and suck on her empty bottle and hold her soft blanket.
Grandma Ard sent these beautiful Christmas dresses and Grace added a nice touch with her shoes, actually Lily's shoes, but Grace usually wears them.
 Pretending to drive a car.
A toilet paper blanket.  So warm?
Lily turned our trampoline into a skating rink.
 Lily cut her hair.
It isn't too bad.  I've been wanting a bob for her anyway.
I heard them singing "Row row row your boat" and found them like this.

Grace loves singing.  I love to hear her singing.  She was really into all the Christmas songs.  She is still singing them.
Grace rocking her baby to sleep singing "I Am A Child of God."  She is so sweet.

What cute girls! They remind me so much of my girls, just about two years behind! 4 and 2?? Did you guys get buried by the blizzard?
