The Fruits...or Vegetables of our Labor

I know you have all been DYING to hear about my garden's progress, so I think these pictures speak for themselves. We have been enjoying squash, zucchini, beans, and cucumbers. The bad news, however, is that on Saturday night some fellow gardeners informed us that all the squash in the community garden have a squash bore in their roots... and it's terminal. They'll be dead in 2 weeks. Luckily, there is still time to plant chard, lettuce, carrots, and radishes...and turnips, but I don't know what I'd do with a turnip.

Terminal squash??? How tragic! I was just thinking of you this morning because here in CA there so many cherries, blackberries, pears, lemons... that are ready to be harvested. You would love CA so much grows and blooms here.
