Stewart and Vermeer
I've been disappointed in the quick recipes I've been trying on Allrecipes.com and the backside of my grocery circular, so I decided to trust Martha and buy her book. The front cover reeled me in. I just got done baking her Tortilla and Black Bean Pie, and it was FABULOUS, but probably anything with garlic, beans, tortillas, jalapenos, and cheese would be fabulous:) I'll let you know if her other recipes are any good. I'm thinking they will be.
While at the bookstore I found this steal of a deal. I fell in love with Vermeer after visiting the New York Metropolitan Museum with my mom and Aunt Gloria last year, so I had to buy this book full of his paintings. Don't you love this one? It's one of my favorites. I think her face is so gentle.

I Love Vermeer. I had some of his pictures in the kitchen where you could see them when I put you up on the dishwasher to do your hair.
