Happy Birthdays to Us!

This picture is supposed to be lower on the post because my birthday is 5 days before Jason's. Keep reading to see if Jason was able to blow out all his candles:)

My birthday: Jason bought me all seven seasons of Monk. I was elated...
but then confused when I opened them to discover DVDs we ALREADY HAD. Then Jason told me that the real episodes were in the mail and should be ready to watch within a week.

NOT VERY RELATED TO THIS POST: Do you like the bubble wand I bought Jason at $1 at Wal Mart. He loved it. We thought we might make it a tradition to blow "birthday bubbles" at birthdays. We did it at mine but then we didn't do it at his birthday. Maybe next year.

NOT SUPER RELATED TO THIS POST EITHER: We watched General Conference at our awesome cousins' home. Afterwards Jason surprised me with pizza and chocolate cake...my co-worker said it best, "Ashlee, Costco cake is BETTER than homemade cake." I think I have to agree with her.

Jason's birthday: we ate our mutually favored Tikka Masala (the best Indian food on the planet). I have to restrain myself from ordering take-out of it every week. I love that we both agree wholeheartedly on a food item. That's hard to do for us. Then I bought him a Friendly's icecream cake (one of his favorite restaurants -- he likes it for their oldies music).

I don't think he blew out his candles with one blow (see top posted picture); he claims otherwise. I did buy him chopsticks, but they are the beginner kind, and he's a professional, so I have an I.O.U., and I had to get him an iTunes card because every place I looked for the Viva La Vida Coldplay CD was sold out.
