Canonical (Reduplicative) Babbling Stage (6-9 months)

Mamamamamamama from Ashlee Ard on Vimeo.

*Strings of nearly identical consonants and vowels appear ("bababa," "mama" "bo-bo-bo")
*Diverse consonant-like elements are used, with a preference for early-developing sounds in the native language
*Babbled strings are still "non-meaningful"
(Dang it, I thought she was calling my name!)
Straight from the notes of Dr. Felsenfeld's communication disorders class I took before Lily was born.

Oh, and another first. can you guess what it is?

She's beyond cute. Glad to see she's making her milestones. We just watched Jason's rendition of Give said the Little Stream. Now that is talent! It's Em's favorite primary song.
